Brian Clayton and the Green River Band have been performing at the areas hottest venues, including Bally’s Wild Wild West Casino (NJ), Hogs and Heifers (NYC), The Honky Tonk Saloon (PA), The Matty T’s Roadhouse(NY), Tequilas Bar and Grill (MA), Jenk Club (NJ) and the Cancun Cantina(MD) as well as many private parties and national events. The Brian Clayton and the Green River Band has been working exclusively with the Country Showdown (Nashville) as the backing band for contestants playing numerous local and state level competitions, performing at such venues as Hershey Park(PA), The Topsfield Fair(MA) New York State Fair, Dutchess County Fair (NY) and the Carolina Country Stampede (NC) to name a few.




In addition, Brian Clayton and the Green River Band has opened for many Nashville country artists including Josh Turner, Jeff Bates and James Otto and has had the pleasure of performing with, and backing, the late great country legend Little Jimmy Dickens. Brian Clayton and the Green River Band has also been the backing band for former teen country artist Jasmine Morgan and has been the backing band for singer-songwriter Gary Campbell. As the saying goes, “see ya’ on the road”




Brian Clayton - Lead Vocals, Guitar
Brian Clayton, band leader, was raised in Garwood, NJ. He started playing drums and singing at the early age of 4 and by 12 formed his first band. As a veteran rock drummer Brian played in numerous bands and performed in the areas’ best venues. His rock years culminated with an extended run with The Swinging Johnsons. Brian discovered, however, his true passion, performing country music. In 2001 he assembled a group of musicians to form ‘The Green River Band’.


Rich Blacker - Lead Guitar, Vocals
Lead guitarist Rich Blacker is a veteran musician of the tri-state area country circuit. He has performed with such bands as the Itinerants, an Irish themed folk act and has gigged in numerous bars and venues thru out the NYC original music scene.


Bob Masucci - Drums, Vocals
Keeping the beat is drummer, Bob Masucci. Bob is a longtime blues and rockabilly player. Bob teaches privately from his home studio. He is also owner of the famous Blue Van and safely drives us to all our gigs.


Mark Young - Bass Guitar, Vocals
Bass player Mark Young keeps the groove down. Mark Young is a long time New York state resident who has been influenced by country music for many years.


John McDonough - Keyboards, Vocals
John McDonough, adds everything from honky-tonk piano, horns, strings and even banjo to the sound of the band. John is a full time musician and is also the band’s arranger.
